My Premier Organ Concert

I have finally set a date and time for my premier organ recital. I will be playing a program of Bach, Franck, Boellmann, and Messiaen at the First Presbyterian Church of Bloomsburg, PA at 3:00 on the 25th of April 2010. Admission is free. There will be a free will offering to raise money for me to attend the POE at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music this summer. This POE will help me gain skills to become a better organist. With the help of the teachers at the Jacobs School of Music and the skills I will learn there, I hope to play numerous concerts next year and in the succeeding years.

My sister wants to learn to play the organ too now! We're going to have to get her piano lessons! Here she is seated at the 27 rank Estey-Fritzsche pipe organ at our church in Bloomsburg.

The New Piano has arrived!

Our new Bluthner 7' 8" grand piano arrived here from Leipzig, Germany today. It is absolutely incredible! The bass notes are superb! The high notes are full and rich! The sustain is unbelievably long, and the dynamic range is enormous!
 
The massive piano sings through the entire sanctuary, surrounding the listener with beautiful tone. Its gorgeous finish reflects the beautiful stain glassed windows with perfect clarity.
